On the Road With the Subaru/ IMBA Trail Care Crews

It’s official, we’re on the road! We’ve been traveling since the beginning of the year with the senior crew, Kelly and Collins Bishop, and have hardened up into seasoned professional travelers. We’ve been learning the ways of the road, and adopted the lifestyle that comes with a life on the road. Every week we are in a new city- sometimes we’ll wake up and not remember what day it is. Or even where we are!

Trail Designers, or Emo Band? The crews put their "cool" faces on.

One of the funny thing about living out of a Subaru is that sometimes the simple things, like mailing a package, or washing your clothes, becomes that much more complicated. One, you have to find out where these services are available. Then we have to find time in the day to do it.

One thing is for certain; without our smart phones, we would feel lost at times. Honestly though, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We love our jobs- as trainers to the trainers, we teach bike clubs how to build sustainable trails and the importance of building a critical mass of riders that have the power to make things happen. And that’s just the start!

Just one trip to Oregon? Bummer you won’t be in P-town (or the surrounding area).

Glad to hear you an Inga are lovin’ life on the road. Sounds like a blast.

  2. Landon says:

Nice riding with you in Tucson. Too bad we didn’t get to do the big La Milagrosa finish. It’s really one of the best trails….well, anywhere.

    Later,
    Landon

Too bad we didn’t get you guys down here. For some reason the club isn’t even listed on IMBA’s site… Mike’s looking into that. BTW, I paid you couple days ago. :)
