During the last rainy day spell, Inga and I were feeling so cooped up, we decided to take a day trip to Seattle to play at the Colonnade Bike Park. Inga has been dying to get some more time in on dirt jumps, and with the backyard looking like mini-swimming pools and mushy, and the Salem Fairgrounds Covered Jumps in construction limbo, playing under the bridge seemed to be a good option.
Some of the Lower Columbia Bike Project crew (our new non-profit start up) have been curious about the Colonnade, so we shot a bit of video to share. Shot with my Canon Powershot G10 and a GoPro Hero Wide with minimal takes, I thought our quick little clip came out ok. What do you think?

FYI,
The legal freeride scene in Washington is expanding. Check out the Black Diamond Freeride Park, AKA Summit Ridge on FB. Small, private land with (1) Pro jump line and 3 other fun lines for everyone else. Mostly all dirt build and little hardware except shovels, rakes, polaskis, etc. The Pro line just got the showcase jump finished for the summer. ALL DIRT, ALL THE TIME
I’m from NY and just visited Colonnade in Seattle. Fun place.
That’s got to be one of the uses for a vacant piece of property that i have seen in a long time:) I grew up racing downhill mountain bikes, BMX and dirtbikes. It’s been a while since i’ve got to ride on some terrain like that. Thanks very much.
