Pleasanton BMX update

This place is going to
be fun when it's finished. Right now I'm stoked most on this dirt
half pipe. It has a dirt spine that is just out of the picture,
and a table top on one side, that will be a lot more fun once the
dirt is packed and smoothed. Click the image above for a high res
image.
It looks like it may
be some time beore this place is dialed in. A lot of dirt has been
moved around since we checked it out in July. The one section that
has a finished look is the part pictured below. That part looks
like a regular bmx track, and is good for non-jumping friends(or
in my case, girlfriend) to get their feet wet.
Be warned that it's really
really hot out here. Go early, and bring a lot of water.

Pleasanton BMX Park Under Construction!

After the legal issues
the city of San Jose has been facing in the last year over their
legendary Nor-Cal Jump Spot, the city of Pleasanton's Bmx park is
going to be designed with similar features as a BMX track. Hopefully
this doesn't mean boring. It definitely resembles a pedally track
as opposed to flowy trails, but at least more people with have a
legal place to learn to jump their bikes. It looks like it has potiential!
The
first ridable set
The
other cool thing about this track is that it's close to 2 other
riding spots, which makes the drive worth it. The Livermore Bmx
track is about 10 minutes away, and Sand Hill Ranch is also in Livermore.
After Downiville, I'm definitely going to be spending a lot of time
riding my DOC. Cheers to that!
Hopefully there
will be some big easy trick doubles added into the mix.
