Rebuilding Shells

After shoveling a ton of dirt Saturday, I felt the need to get on my bike and ride. The closest jumps to my new location in San Francisco are the Foster City jumps fondly known as Shells.

I knew the jumps were becoming ridable from lurking on the local board, MSDHW. I was a bit surprised to find only one other persona out there digging.

Like 101, Shells is beat down from the winter flooding. Thanks to the efforts of locals like Dan here, the jumps are on their way back to being in good shape.

These jumps are not small.

Last time I was out here, I was crutching around with my foot in a cast. It was fun to be able to ride, even if many of the lines weren't ridable.
