This is my Seven
Sola. She's a super-light weight titanium hardtail. Before this bike,
I've never really had a high end XC hardtail. Back in the day, I had a
Cannondale Delta V700 that I rode for a year, but she was kind of heavy,
and a super harsh ride. It featured a headshock that only had 2.5 inches
of travel, but it was the first suspension fork I had ever experienced;
and at the time, I was just stoked that I had a bike with a shock. This
was when V-brakes hadn't even shown up yet, and the nicest brake available
were Maguras. The C-dale had these shitty coda cantis, that just didn't
do it, and LX thumb shifters.
The Seven kick's
that bikes ass, and pees on its leg. And this spring she gets a suspension
fork, and some light wheels, because Sea Otter is coming up, and I'm going
to get my slow ass in shape.
This is the bike
in its latest incarnation, as a cross bike. Kind of like a 29er, similar
to a hybrid. Whatever you call it, it's my new fire road long distance
ride. Now that I have my Heckler set up as my main trail riding bike,
the Seven is the hill climber.
