Pleasanton Bmx Park
One of my favorite places to ride in the Bay Area has been the Pleasanton
Bmx Park. Every time I am out there, I ride until I'm exhausted. I can't
wait until I'm healthy enough to ride there again. I've been going though
my pictures folder, and it turns out I have a few more pictures I wanted
to share.

Here's a shot of Chipper over the hip. This is probably my favorite jump
at this place. You can hit this table top in four different directions.
However, you have to be cranking to air it in this direction. Chipper
here has gate skills from years of BMX racing, and has some "get
up and go."

Here's a shot of the author airing it the from the usual direction. The
park is definitely more of a pedaling park. No pump track here. Although
it would be fun to develop the kiddie section into a pump track. In fact,
the only drawback to the park is the lack of flow. A lot of pedaling is
required to hit any of the jumps.

I can't really complain though. It's not like I'm out there every weekend
with a shovel. If I lived closer, I would be though. This gentleman in
the photo (I forget his name) is the man responsible for making the park
happen. Send your props to this guy; he spent a lot of his time making
fun stacks of dirt for us to play on.

This section has a lot of potential.

This series of small table tops is a good place to start getting the
feel. Here, a local Vet Downhiller on his Yeti practices his jumping.
Here's two more shots of me and Chipper.
