Sessioning a fun Novato Jump Spot
posted 8/25/05

After the skatepark, we headed up the freeway an exit or two to check out the Costco jumps or whatever they're calling them. Kevin gave this disclaimer regarding the spot: "kind of small, not super exciting jumps, but sweet berms." And the berms were in fact sweet. It's funny, my girlfriend and I shop at this Costco all the time, and I never imagined there were jumps dug into the side of the hill. Pretty sweet. This location could be really cool, if the jumps were built up to match the intensity of the berms. Seriously, check this thing out.

You can go hella fast into and out of this thing. Note the jump over the berm as well. This is how you build a berm! It's a tight turn, but you can actually carry mad speed through it. It would be ideal with the addtion of a jump leading into and out of it. If the Mosier jumps had berms that looked like this, I'd be out there all the time.

As far as the lines here, there were a few jumps leading into the berms(two of them, both turning the same way) and a few jumps after them. Not super big, but fun.

This spot was pretty fun for a little bit. We were running out of light, so we fired of a few photos for the report and rode it for a while. This place just needs some more jumps.
