Interbike page four.

After walking around the Expo all day and meeting up with the Portland crew consisting of Evan, Jeb, Drew, Billy Spaceman, the Spaceman's girl, and myself, we had difficult decisions to make. Namely,"which party are we going to?" and, "what are we doing for dinner?"

We first headed back to the hotel to unload our backpacks before heading out for food. After dinner we had trouble hailing a cab. Apparently cabs have a limit of 5 to a party. "No big deal we thought. We can see the strip from here," we said. We'll just walk."

This did not prove to the best idea had this night.

don't you wish you had a faster connection?

The thing to remember with Las Vegas is that objects are further away than they appear. Much further. We made the long walk seem shorter by stopping and purchasing beverages. Put your mouse over Jeb to see what we did next..

That's right! Drinking in public rules! To be followed directly by:

Ok, so maybe this was staged. I don't recall any one in the group actually barfing. And here's some more mouse-over fun- I was caught slumming. An all-new low!

yer computer sucks...

After "the long walk" the guys decided to chill out on the strip while I took my bike out to check out the "Kona Bowl." It was way on the other side of town. The ride proved to be eventful. I ran into some locals on bmx bikes sessioning this barrier. They got stoked when I put my camera down and started hitting it with them on my Jericho.

Eventually I moved on, and finally made it over to the hotel with the bowling alley to find that the event was over. That straight up sucked, but I had a good time sessioning with the locals I ran into. On the way back to the strip I ran into more kids on BMX bikes. We ended up sessioning this wall ride and several other spots. After I parted ways with the bmx posse I headed back to the strip once again. It had to be two or so at this point. While passing this hotel parking lot I saw a group of cyclists having an impromptu derby.

Some of the people looked kind of familiar. It turned out to be the crew from Dirt Rag! How random was that? I was quickly inserted into the Derby. A good time was had by all.
