Interbike 2004 page 2 |page 3 | page 4 | page 5 Las Vegas. The city of sin. The city built on bright lights and spectacle, designed to separate visitors from their paychecks and more. After three days of wandering and partying, it's taken me another three to begin feeling normal again. This was my second trade show, as I attended the Interbike Expo once several years ago. This time I felt like I actually knew some people, which made it a lot more fun. I also met a lot of cool people.
The Expo- Most of my time was spent walking around visiting and taking taking pictures at my own pace. This was a lot of fun. First on my agenda was getting a copy of Dirt Rag and seeing my work on the cover of the mag. It took me at least an hour before I gave up on just running into the Dirt Rag booth, and picked up a map. Eventually I found it, and well, it was pretty cool to see my work in print on the cover of a magazine. (Another short term goal accomplished.) Cruiser and low-rider bikes were pretty popular this year. It seemed like everyone had one. I couldn't resist taking this shot of Izaak hammin' it up on this one in the Ventana booth. Little bro loves the ham. See?
Here's Jeff Jones and Jimmy Jericho(Josh Ogle) hanging out and non-exhibiting the products they manufactured. These boys, they love the Ti.
And I was on a picture taking rampage at this point. Here's Pro DH Guy Shaums March and Forest from MTBR.com. Forest is on the phone like usual. (That's probably why he never calls me back to go riding.) Apparently he's a busy guy. I don't really know Shaums either, other than he does the biggest Nac-Nacs. I remember the Plush video from years ago. I bought a Mt. Cycle because of Shaum's section.
And here's Dan K. Harris, Nor-Cal showman and Jules from Buff. |
