Weekend Road Trip: Southern Oregon

First stop: Hannah Ranch, Novato.

I took off Thursday after work; I was taking Friday off for a much-needed vacation. The plan was to head up to my brothers place in Southern Oregon to spend some time with the fam, and of course to get some time to ride my bike.

First Stop: Hannah Ranch (Novato)

Traffic in and out of the Bay Area is horrible during peak commute times, so I stopped at Hannah Ranch in Novato for an after work riding session. The whole gang was there tonight; a group of us work for a local bay area chain of bike shops, Mike's Bikes. It was our friend Brandon's last riding session before he was off to his new life in the mideast, so we had a good turnout, and a super fun session.

We basically rode our bikes until the sun went down, and the mosquitoes came out. Once the bites got out of hand, it was time to head over to Taco Bell to fuel up for the 5.5 hour drive I had ahead of me.

Driving at night solo is always boring, but I rocked out, and pumped myself full of caffeine, pulling into my brother's driveway in Medford just after 2am. We had a big day planned. DH shuttle in the morning, and dirt jumps in the afternoon. It was to be a family based weekend, so we tried to pack in all the riding we could fit.
