Pleasanton BMX Park Under Construction!

I wish Oakland
had a legal place to get rad on bikes. The Pleasanton kids have
got to be pretty stoked. Check out some snap shots of the new Pleasanton
park. These photos were shot a few weeks back, so hopefully construction
is complete by now.

Breaking in the Enduro
While
in Southern Oregon over the fourth of July weekend, I spent some
time on my new all mountain ride, a 2005 Specialized Enduro. I took
the bike on every kind of ride during the course of the weekend,
and it performed exactly as promised: good for all around/ all mountain
riding. Still not sure what the hell all mountain refers to? Let
me attempt to clarify it- its crystal to me now.

Sick Secret
Spot: 101
I finally was able to
check out Drew and Eric's secret trails, 101.They are pretty incredible.
I can see why they try so hard to keep them on the down low. The
jumps are awesome. I caught like three feet of air. Unfortunetly,
My Evil DOC is down for the moment. After a session at the Central
Point jumps in Oregon, my XT cranks were finished. Bent, stripped,
done. I brought my Bmx bike to the party, but I wasn't feeling it
on my 20" so I didn't jump much. I tried the first jump on
Drew's Staats, but I felt bad after tagging the landing of the first
jump. That said, I know now where I'll be spending a lot of my time
for the rest of the summer. Check out a few more shots from 101
here.
I spent a lot of time
riding in Oregon last weekend with my brother. I'll try and post
a report on that soon. We rode bikes everyday. Doesn't get much
better than that. After sessioning this hip
my cranks got in really bad shape.
I've been playing with
the notion of redesigning the site as more of a zine for while.
Guess that will depend on how much free time I have.
I found this cool link
when I was surfing on Revolution Freeride. It's a 3D animation of
a Freerider. Pretty sweet. link
