After our day of bad news in Santa Cruz, Ian suggested we check out this gap on campus he knew about. It sounded like it could be fun, so we stopped by his house and picked up his launch ramp and set it up.

This gap has a tricky approach. You don't have a lot of space to gather speed, but I managed to clear the sidewalk every time. (which was pretty important- Ian said he's seen a few injuries here) The trick was to pedal as hard as possible, starting with your tire up against the gate. It was pretty fun. It also was interesting to have an audience, as this is right in front of a women's dorm.

I made myself a desktop for work. Also, thanks to Ian Richards for shooting these photos.
